Just been with a client who uses Dell EqualLogic iSCSI SAN storage for VMware. They have recently installed a Dell PowerVault MD3000i SAN Array as an additional storage tier.

We've helped them provision LUNs from the MD3000i as vSphere datastores for testing. This included re-provisioning storage previously allocated to physical servers whilst maintaining live storage on the array and hence not affecting other production systems.

It has to be said that as "entry-level" iSCSI SAN Storage, there's not much to criticise about the MD3000i - we like this as a low-cost SAN option.
